FORTIS provides independent Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) consultation to help clients select and implement appropriate inspection strategies for materials, welds, components, structures, and equipment without compromising their usability or integrity. Our NDT consultation services include guidance on inspection methods, inspection strategies, NDT requirements, contractor oversight, examination coverage, reporting requirements, acceptance criteria, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
We assist clients in determining appropriate NDT approaches based on the
material, component, weld configuration, potential defect mechanisms,
operating conditions, and applicable inspection requirements. Where
appropriate, this may involve consideration of methods such as isual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
FORTIS can also provide oversight and technical support when NDT activities are performed by external service providers, helping clients ensure that examinations are properly planned, appropriately executed, adequately documented, and aligned with the applicable requirements. Our objective is to provide clients with confidence in the integrity of their assets and the reliability of their inspection results, while helping identify potential
defects and risks before they develop into more serious operational or safety concerns.
